Despite a career high 27 points from senior Jack Poling, to go along with 10 rebounds, the Wildcats dropped a tough game on the road against Metro League rival Southridge, 78-68. Southridge entered the contest ranked #2 in the state of Oregon and Westvoew battled tooth and nail over the first 22 minutes. As the 3rd quarter wore on, it was Southridge who pulled away with their depth, length and outside shooting (14 3pt shots made). The Wildcats showed the ability to control tempo and defend against an offensive juggernaut in limiting Southridge to 33 first half points. Junior, Kobe Newton continued his outstanding perimeter play with 16 points and 5 assists. Westview drops to 2-3, 0-1.
